| Momentum Europe 2008 Recap |
Momentum Prague has come to a close with more than 1,300 EMC customers and partners sharing four incredible days of breakout sessions, networking functions, and social events.
The event, which took place at the Congress Centre in Prague, Czech Republic, is the largest enterprise content management (ECM) and archiving gathering held outside of the Americas. People from 55 countries attended the event and more than 40 companies exhibited and showcased their products.
Throughout Momentum Europe 2008, conference attendees had the opportunity to hear from more than 50 partners regarding their products and services, and how they complement and extend EMC's content management and archiving solutions. Top-level sponsors included Accenture, ATOS Origin, TietoEnator, and Google.
At various networking events, OEM partners and application developers enjoyed exchanging information and connecting with hundreds of peers. They also had access to EMC's entire software, platform and solutions portfolio while interacting with EMC engineers, customers, and other partners at various breakout sessions.
Some of Momentum's OEM-focused sessions included "Lower Your Costs of Development" which discussed the use of EMC OEM Edition products. The session demonstrated how leveraging content management services allows EMC partners to focus more closely on building applications that solve customer business problems, improve processes, and help drive revenue.
XML was another big focus area, and the session, "How XML Enables Enterprise-Wide Knowledge Capture and Sharing" was a huge success. Partners attending this session learned how, when combined with content management, XML enables dramatic improvements in competitiveness.
